We are very happy to say that the design team have worked hard and produced what we think is a worthy successor the Enzo. The Enzo 2 in an M size (95-115, optimal weight similar to Enzo) is now fully EN certified. We will give you more information shortly, this is just a heads up that the Enzo 2 will soon be on the order form. It is a very complicated wing with all our latest developments and a massive 101 cells. Please speak to your pilots about this wing and prepare to place your orders. You will need to contact Russ to say which pilots your wing is for, we will be prioritising all orders for pilots who are going to the Superfinal. We are confident that we can produce all the wings demanded in good time for that competition.

M6: THE ULTIMATE 3-LINER

The newest addition to the Mantra series is by far the most advanced 3-line wing that we have ever produced. Designed for experienced XC/competition pilots who enjoy the comfort, safety and performance of ‘classic’ EN D, the M6 will have M4 pilots feeling at home straight away but with obvious and significant improvements.

The M6 is an evolution of the LM5, the wing which swept the top 5 spots of the 2013 X-Alps Race and took Chrigel to goal in record time. Over the course of our testing and development, we have taken the 3-line concept to its absolute maximum, incorporating the best design elements of the LM5 whilst increasing the number of cells, modifying the planform and optimising the line plan. The M6 has the extra performance that was not possible with the LM5 due to the serious weight restrictions demanded by the X-Alps.

Fully optimised for comfortable performance flying and featuring Ozone SharkNose technology, the M6 contains all of the features that have made the modern Ozone range renowned for stability and comfort. With an aspect ratio of 6.92, an efficient pitch stable profile, a 23% total line drag reduction and a highly refined internal tension the M6 offers improved performance relative to the M4. We have measured a 0.8 glide improvement at trim speed and a full 1 point at full speed!

Comfortable and intelligible feedback is provided by the M6’s 3-line system which allows for effective pitch control through the C risers. This tight, compact and controllable sail behaviour further improves glide performance in turbulent conditions, the wing steps up through wind shear converting energy into height like a competition wing. Through the brakes the wing is extremely precise and responsive to inputs producing an incredibly compact feel which makes it easy to turn tightly and efficiently, even in the smallest most turbulent cores. This coordinated feel, combined with the high aspect ratio translates to superb climbing characteristics and high levels of efficiency.

The M6 is suitable for experienced and competent XC pilots who spend more than 100 hours per year in thermal conditions. We are confident that the comfort and solidity of this wing will make it a favorite amongst existing M4 pilots and other experienced Performance-XC class pilots, as well as Sport-class pilots who are looking to move up to a wing which forms an excellent transition to the competition class. It is however a high performance paraglider that needs to be flown with the full attention and respect that any such wing deserves. An M6 pilot must have a solid understanding of best practices for recovery from incidents in flight.

The Enzo 2 is now available for pre-orders in the M (95-115) size. We should have enough available production in December to satisfy the demand for the PWC Superfinal and PWC Mexico.

The Enzo 2 has all our latest developments which means that this high end competition EN D certified wing has significant speed and performance gains over the Enzo making it highly competitive for the 2014 season. It also has a clear advantage in turbulent air and sink rate. The 101 cells and 27g cloth do make the Enzo 2 the most expensive wing we have ever produced, but the wing is designed to meet the needs of those passionate about winning.
The success of certification has encouraged us to now produce S (85-105) and L (105-125) sizes. We expect these to be available soon, probably not in time for the Superfinal, but perhaps in time for Mexico PWC (we will try, but cannot guarantee).

I am pleased to say we can finally offer you the Ozium, our lightweight Pod Harness, weighing about 2.6kg. Based on the successful X-Alps harness, with more robust materials, this light pod features full LTF back protection, integrated rear reserve container, flight deck and a replaceable pod. The main part of the harness is in 2 sizes M and L on the order form (in the harness section), when you check your order you will be given the choice of S, M or L size Pod and you can change the back protection to the lighter, less bulky, but non-certified back protection. We recommend the LTF protection.

The ANGEL reserve parachute is now available in a smaller size, the 95 joins the 110 and the 140. The number indicates the max weight we recommend for best sink rate and is the EN certified weight, but for LTF the 95 is actually LTF certified up to 100kg. You can order it with long or short bridles and there is a financial advantage in ordering more Angels as shown by the packs available. The short bridled version weighs 1.5kg. To encourage more people to check out the Angel we are offering a LAUNCH OFFER on the packs of 3 x Angel 95 (either short or long bridle version) with a 10% DISCOUNT. OFFER CLOSES 16/01/14

ANGEL NOTE: We think the Angel is just about as light as you can get without compromising the integrity of the materials or the sink rate. The Angel uses polyamide line which has a melting point of 200C; some of the light reserves on the market use dyneema line which has a melting point of 80C and this increases the risk of line failure due to friction, a high risk if you have an uncontrolled main glider interfering with your rescue chute.

THE ZERO

The new Zero is the most precise and compact mini-wing that we have ever flown. This advanced mini-wing design was more than two years in the making, and is based on what we have learned through the development of our smaller-sized mountain gliders and also the technological advances we have made in the Ozone Performance Project.


The Zero is the only mini-wing that features the patented Ozone SharkNose technology. The SharkNose, as proven in our highest level competition wings and now the Mantra and Delta series, provides enhanced stability at low angles of attack (accelerated flight) and also high angles of attack (slow speed flight, thermalling). In addition, it provides a high level of spin-resistance, generally improved handling, and increased speed and glide performance. In short, the SharkNose has significantly improved every aspect of flight in the Zero’s design platform, making it a unique high-performance mini-wing which remains accessible and easy to use.

HANDLING & STABILITY

The “Zero” stands for speed and precision. While speed was a major concern for us during the development of this wing, our primary focus was on creating a stable and usable speed range. The improved stability of the SharkNose in accelerated flight gives the Zero a solid and compact feel at high speeds.

Another crucial benefit of the SharkNose technology is the higher internal pressure at high angles of attack. What this means in handling terms is an increased brake range, and high spin resistance, which equals fun: the Zero reacts quickly and predictably to solid brake inputs, making it a highly maneuverable and easy to pilot through high-banked turns.

PERFORMANCE & VERSATILITY

Efficiency at the leading edge is crucial to all areas of performance and handling, and the revolutionary SharkNose design has created the most efficient leading edge in existence. Smaller inlets increase internal pressure at all angles of attack, and decrease drag, making for a more mechanically stable and efficient profile in all modes of flight.

The Zero is equally comfortable in light or strong thermal conditions, and in no-wind or high-wind launches and soaring. It is truly one of the most versatile wings that we have ever flown. The Zero will not only increase the range of flyable conditions for you as a pilot, but also enhance your enjoyment of the simplest descent flights. Thanks to its high efficiency, the Zero is not just for strong wind or thermal soaring – you will be able to soar in similar conditions to larger wings, but enjoy more responsive handling and higher speeds.

The Zero is equipped with both trimmers and a speed system, which may be used individually or together. We do not recommend flying any highly-loaded wing in accelerated configurations in turbulent conditions. Know your limits, and only fly the Zero in conditions and at flying sites that are suitable to your skill level.

THE PILOT

The Zero is accessible and easy to use, but is generally flown with higher wingloading than standard paragliders and therefore all pilots who are new to mini-wings should consult with an experienced instructor before their first flights with one. The Zero is suitable for paraglider pilots of intermediate skill, and above, who are trying this ‘mini-voile’ sport for the first time. It is also, of course, perfect for more experienced pilots who wish to fly it at a higher wing-loading and enjoy the speed and precision of this wing at its full potential. The Enzo2 M has been successfully retested by Air Turquoise. An un-modified, standard production wing which was flown in the 2013 Superfinal was used for these tests to prove conformity of all Enzo 2 wings being flown. The wing was tested to the EN 926-1 and 926-2 2005 standards, and passed with a D classification. A new certification number has been issued PG_0850.2014.

For clarity, a new certification sticker will be provided for all current Enzo2 produced. Official EN documents will be published shortly, before then, if anyone needs a copy of the certification statement from Air Turquoise for a competition, please contact “russ-at-flyozone.com”.

We plan to launch other sizes as soon as possible, and we intend the wing to be easily compatible with the future CCC rules in 2015.

We are pleased to announce that our friend, Pal Takats, has joined the Ozone Team.

Pal is young, but is already a three-time World Champion and one of the most talented pilots in the history of paragliding with a long and impressive career in the sport. We look forward to flying with him for many years to come!

In the very near future we will be announcing a Trickster 2, which is the “easiest” competition acro wing that we have developed so far. Pal will be flying the Trickster 2 along with a full complement of Ozone wings, from the Fazer 2 to the Enzo 2 and everything in between. His PPG flying skills are also on the rise, and we are confident that he has a very bright future in all branches of our sport.

Trebalo je nešto dulje vremena nego što se očekivalo, ali zadovoljstvo je tim veće što je Rush 4 sada dostupna za naručivanje u MS i ML veličinama. U Ozoneu smatraju da će piloti stvarno cijeniti mogućnosti novog krila, uključujući i "shark nose" tehnologiju. Web stranica će uskoro biti ažurirana. Za one prve naručioce kao i obično postoji demo ponuda do 24/03/2014. Cijena emo ponude za MS veličinu je 2.240 € i za ML 2.260 € s uključenim PDV-om. Redovna cijena će biti 2.480 € i za ML 2.500 €.

It’s the Delta 2’s little brother! We are extremely excited about this wing, and think that it represents as much of a leap forward in performance designs as the Delta 2 has proven to be. The Rush 4 has class-crushing performance, and some features which we have never before applied to the Sport-Intermediate class, including Ozone SharkNose Technology.


THE SHARKNOSE

Over the past three years, the SharkNose has proven to be one of the most important innovations in the sport of paragliding. The concept has now been thoroughly tested on our competition and performance XC class wings, and we feel that its arrival in the Sport-Intermediate class is an important milestone. The SharkNose profile provides vastly better behavior in performance and stability at both high and low angles of attack. In accelerated flight, the SharkNose profile is more stable, with better inflow to the cell openings and less drag at the leading edge. At slower speeds, and during intense brake inputs (for instance while coring tight thermals) the SharkNose profile is highly spin resistant, providing a longer and more progressive brake travel which the pilot can easily use to their advantage. DRAG REDUCTION

At Ozone, we are obsessed with “free” performance upgrades, which come as the result of improvements in materials technology and design factors which reduce drag without compromising passive safety or comfort. The Rush 4 has benefitted from a 25% reduction in line drag compared to its predecessor, thanks to a more advanced 3-Line design.

TRUE PERFORMANCE

The Delta 2’s renowned balance of performance and comfort is the result of the new SharkNose, an advanced arc, and very low line drag. The Rush 4 features all of the same modern design advantages, and our testing has shown that this is a wing that will inspire confidence in active air. We have maintained a moderate aspect ratio, which is one of the keys to comfort. On launch, the Rush 4 rises in a balanced and predictable manner, and its compact and coordinated feel must be experienced to be believed.

THE PILOT

In much the same way that the Delta 2 put huge smiles onto the faces of our R&D Team during the final testing phases, we think the Rush 4 will more than satisfy even the most demanding pilots in the Sport-Intermediate class, and maybe even tempt some pilots from other more advanced classes, as well. Overall, it has a very similar feel to the Delta 2 in terms of handling, precision, solidity, and spin-resistance while coring lift, and our early testing has shown that its performance is unique in the class.

Ono što čitam na www.paraglidingforum.com je da ekipa šizi jer već nemaju Rush 4 u svojim rukama, a sezona počinje. Čak neki "delta" piloti žele uzeti Rush 4 kao novo krilo za XC. Nadam se da je dobro koliko ekipa preželjkuje.

RUSH 4 L size - For those of you have not noticed, the Rush 4 L size is now available on the order form, joining the MS and ML sizes. The usual demo offer is avavilable on the L size until the 31/03/2014.

ENZO 2 Update - The certification details are now on the Para-Test website and just to clarify, pilots already supplied with an Enzo 2 do not need new lines or risers. We certified the wing as used by the pilots in the Superfinal with no changes. Production of new orders are now continuing as before.

MANTRA M6 Update - The final prototypes of the ML, L sizes are now with us (S size on its way), we just need to check them and go to certification, hopefully by the end of next week.

Love the wing. While the climb rates on that day weren't spectacular and thermals started late, there were some really rough ones on the second half of the day, especially above the "Falknis" mountain. The wing is really great in showing you the structure and dynamics of the air, makes active flying very intuitive. Never had a collapse, even in the worst stuff. I think the best part is that you get very precise information before the wing would get into a stall. Inside the narrow cores I sometimes started to use spin entries to better get around them and always felt completely save doing them. Only my third longer flight with the wing after coming from a D2 and I already feel completely at home! I wasn't pushing the speedbar more than 50% as I missed to adjust it correctly before the flight, so can't comment on full speed behavior in rough stuff, but at half bar it felt solid enough. In weak stuff, the glide and climb is outstanding. Before the last glide, only one very good comp pilot on an IcePeak Pro was able to make enough height together with me to get enough altitude over the last part to almost completely close the triangle. Above the Walensee, the glide was good enough to just soar along it while all lower level wings had to stop to retake the altitude. I have a feeling this wont be the last personal best for this season. Can't be happier with the wing. The only downside is the bigger brake pressure compared to the D2 (I'm right at the top of the weight range), makes flying in spring thermals over long distances a little more tiring, but that was kinda expected with the bigger AR of the wing. However, it's not as bad as on the LM5, so not too much of a worry. Time to mount some acro handles so I can change hand positions.


Pa malo za Doktora:
It really is a shame that Ozone have taken so long for the other sizes of this glider to be certified, I know that their is a whole heap of people waiting to get there hands on this glider including my self but eventually no matter how loyal a person is to a brand you have to draw a line in the sand and move on to another choice in the end.

Its a great shame but I need a new glider now for the already started season here in Europe and cant wait any longer, I am not sure what the delay is, in my mind it could be one of many reasons as to what I don't really want to be drawn on here.

I hope the shenanigans that have gone on with Ozone over the Enzo 2 doesn't hurt the company to much as its good in every sport to have a manufacture out there willing to push the boundaries in new design to help us all in the never ending dream of having that magic glider we all crave.

I just wanted to share my frustrations as I am afraid I cant wait any longer but I guess Ozone isn't going to lose out to much on my behalf as I am going to step down from Boomerang GTO and get my self a brand new Delta 2 instead and looking forward to the easier handling that it will bring with dam near the same performance.

Not only you're disappointed, me and my friends who fly so far on the M3 also waiting for a worthy successor to the M4.
I'm talking here about a paraglider with who knows what parameters, in principle, would he be the M4 with shark nose, without any nonsense long stiffeners.
As I wrote before, neither I nor my friends on 100% will not buy the M6​​. Currently we are considering paragliders other manufacturers. A very big negative for Ozone for what is currently doing.


Pa opet malo teasera:
After flying the M6 in Colombia and 146 hrs later, I only had one 40% assymetric, which reinflated very fast, flew a lot of nasty air on half bar, very easy to launch and land, and accordion packs like any other glider except you add the pillow. The only idiosyncrasies are the big ears, which need to be pumped out and sometimes cravatte, but no big deal, and the speed bar pulleys are too far apart, I am unable to get pulley to pulley, believe me, we tried everything, but am still 1/2 " shy of full bar where the magic happens. M6 is the best wing this 61 yr old journeyman pilot has ever flown. Now I am heading back to Colorado to see how it is fly the dry thin air. happy flights amigos Bob

I have flown mine 54 hours since I got it. I hardly get asymmetics with it, so I cant really say The M6 is easy to fly for a classic D, and if you pilot it actively, there are not many nasty surprizes.

As for packing, i fold it 2 times, use the packing-pillow and some of my clothes as a second pillow, and it fits nicely with my Woody Valley Xalps GTO in a standard 135L Ozone bag. It comes with the Competition bag (185L), so you will not need a second bag..... The rods are very supple and thin, so they will not break even when folding 2 times.

I do get pulley-to-pulley on my M6 - it is quite fast, but still solid.

I'm not sure if this was meant as a joke, but it raises an interesting question: with so much time elapsed since the certification of the MS, will Ozone have made any improvements on the MS design that they will incorporate in the other sizes? That would be one good thing to come out of this agonising delay. By the sounds of it, the MS is an amazing wing (Hugh Miller flew 210 km on his in the UK yesterday and easily kept up with Guy Anderson who was on an Icepeak 7 Pro).

I flew with Guy on Friday last, and notwithstanding his ability to climb a lot (lot) better than me, my MS M6 seemed reasonably competitive with Guys IP7 on that day too.

Ja nešto načuo da ipak ide M6 u ML i L veličini ali se nezna datum isporuke..(Prema svim očekivanjima tehnologije M6 nakraju se čeka kao ručni rad ).samo načuo daj toni nekaj više znaš sigurno!?. Barem za Doc-a
Moj je ujak nekad platio Ladu i onda je čekao na nju 6 mjeseci uff i nije bila pocinčana :mocking:

We are now taking orders for production of the M6 ML and L sizes. The ML size is now fully certified and the L size is just finishing the certification process. For those of you that invest in demos the 10% deal is open until the 1st of May.
The wings and the weather have made the whole process slow and we are sorry that some of your clients have had to wait so long, or gone elsewhere, but we really believe the wings are worth the wait. The other sizes still need some work before presenting to certification, as do the other sizes of Rush 4. The Enzo 2 S size is currently going through the certification process with the test house.

Evo, ovim tempom će, nakon MS, sad ML, L veličina M6 biti certificirana negdje oko početka jeseni.
